​​Wattay International Airport (VTE) in Vientiane is the main international gateway.

Exchanging Money: Currency can be exchanged at banks, authorized exchange offices, and the airport. ATMs are available in major cities but may have limited availability in rural areas.

Men: Dress pants and collared shirts; suits are preferred for formal meetings.

Meetings often begin with greetings and small talk. Use formal titles and last names until invited to use first names. Exchanging business cards is customary; present and receive them with both hands.

Laos is prone to flooding and landslides during the monsoon season (May to October). Familiarize yourself with local emergency procedures.

Healthcare facilities may not be as advanced as in some countries, especially in rural areas. Comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies is highly recommended. 

​​Pharmacies

Pharmacies are available in urban areas, offering basic medications. It's advisable to carry necessary medications with you, as certain medications may not be readily available.

Culture: Laos has a rich cultural heritage, influenced by Buddhism. Respect for local customs and traditions is important, especially when visiting temples. 

​​Foods:
- Laap (Larb): A traditional minced meat salad flavored with herbs and spices.
- Sticky Rice: A staple food served with most meals.
- Tam Mak Hoong: A spicy papaya salad, popular in Lao cuisine.
- Khao Soi: A noodle soup with a coconut milk base.
